Praying for Guidance

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, and they found him and said to him, "Everyone is looking for you." And he said to them, "Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out." (Mar 1:35-38 ESV)

The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the guard:"Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it--the LORD is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. (Jer 33:3 ESV)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Pro 3:5,6 ESV)

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR HEART

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too." (Mar 11:24,25 NLT)

PRAY IN FAITH AND HARMONY WITH GOD'S WILL

You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it." (Mat 21:22 NLT)

And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will. (Rom 8:27 NLT)

THE RESULT SHOULD BE PEACE AND UNITY WITH OUR FELLOW MAN

[D]o not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phl 4:6,7 ESV)

WHEN MAN LISTENS, GOD SPEAKS - WHEN MAN OBEYS, GOD ACTS

Gospel Prayer:

In Christ, there is nothing I can do that would make you love me more, and nothing I have done, that would make you love me less.

You are all I need for everlasting joy.

As you have been to me, so I will be to others.

As I pray, I'll measure your compassion by the cross and your power by the resurrection.

And my hope in your ascension into heaven.
